Cavallino 242 (April 2021 / May 2021)
2009 Ferrari 430 Scuderia s/n 164380. Created starting from the F430 Berlinetta, the 430 Scuderia (without the F at the beginning of its name) was created to offer a better driving experience, much closer to that of a racing car than a normal road-legal model. Several of its improved characteristics were road evolutions of the Challenge cars used in GT racing. Michael Schumacher was deeply involved in its development, and this alone should be considered a sufficient guarantee of its caliber. All of the above explains why, today, the Scuderia is considered one of the most desirable Ferrari youngtimers, and why it is still widely regarded as one of the best and most exciting road-legal Berlinetta Ferraris to drive. The feature covers both the story of the model and the story of the specimen portrayed, which is driven as it was meant to be, and is considered so much part of the family that it even gets used for the kind of practical daily activities that Ferraris are not usually intended for…. The 430 Scuderia feature includes a full interview with F430 and 430 Scuderia designer Frank Stephenson, who offers what is very much an insider view of the stylistic development of this model.
